Sucks man. I fucking hate how to only solution to a problem you didn't cause is to pay blizzard even more money. I only started playing classic like a month ago and fucked up at the beginning by not paying attention to which server I got put on. I was excited to start and didn't realize how shitty the server status is.

Got to level 35 only to realize I've been wasting my time because I can't even find 3 dps to run SM, this is after already rerolling from rogue to paladin. So I wasted like 3 weeks on that server and finally gave in and just boosted a character on Grob. I'm not happy about it at all, I really wanted to just transfer my character but you can't transfer pve to pvp... but for some reason can boost. At least it was half off I guess, doesn't make it feel any less shitty.

Blizzard really needs a fucking disclaimer or something if you log into the game for the first time. They need to tell you that they know the server status is terrible and how you should probably change the random-ass server they throw you on at the start. Because they do recognize the problem, they just don't do anything about it. I mean the first thing you do when you boot up the game for the first time is create a character, not pick a server. It doesn't even tell you anything about servers, you have to go out of your way to a third party website to find out the details. It's inexcusable and the only reason they don't add a simple disclaimer like this is because it would lose them money on server transfers. I guess it fucking worked tho...
