LPT : Be careful what you tolerate, you’re teaching people how to treat you.

This is an unhelpful piece of advice, but I can say that sometimes that is a helpful trait.

I work in corporate mergers, and a lot of times I just introduce myself as the junior guy and literally say I’m new to this and get a lot of execs to talk at me for an hour. Then I go back and decide whether we want to buy their company. It’s sort of an odd skill, coming off as ready to be abused. My boss came to be a while back and was like, wow you are 100% wolf under a lot of fuzz ball friendly sheep warmth, made me feel very good.

Also I think on a day to day basis it can be hard sometimes to realize and accept that almost everyone, especially people who have no business feeling this way, secretly think they are better than you and your choice is basically just to accept it.
