LPT: If you confront someone after being repeatedly fed up with their behaviour, remind yourself that they're only hearing it from you for the first time.

This was a deep frustration of mine when I worked in a retail store for a telecommunications company. We would get a lot of the same questions about things, and after having answered the same question for the 10th time in 4 hours, it's easy to forget that it's the first time that person has asked that question, even if it's the 100th time you've answered it. It helps to remember that for every person who asks a question you've asked hundreds of times already, you've also asked people a question that they've answered hundreds of times before, without you knowing you're asking their least favourite question. Respond to your people the way you'd want someone in a store to respond to you, with patience and understanding. Someone who is tired of asking the same question hundreds of times of why some people feel like they're being treated rudely by employees in retail stores, and truthfully it's not their fault that they didn't already know what they were asking you about. You can't control how many times you get asked a question, but you can control how many times you answer it like it's the first time.
