LPT: If you meet somebody that has a name that's popular in a phrase or movie, refrain from quoting it. 9/10 times they've been hearing it their entire life and are equally annoyed each time.

Austin has been through many seasons of meme; seems like there's always something. None of them really annoy me, in fact it might reveal something about the person to me depending on which one they go with (usually age).

When I was young it was either "Austin? Are you from Boston, Austin?" or just "Austin Texas!"

Occasionally a member of the older generation would ask if I was Colonel Steve Austin, which I took as a compliment since I like Lee Majors.

That all went away in the late 90s thanks to Mike Meyers. In fact, "Austin Powers" is still the most common thing I get (though I do a better Dr. Evil impression tbh).

Other things I get: "What's your name?" Austin...

"Austin Healy? Like the car!" "Stone cold!!" "Austin City Limits?" "Aston Martin? Like the car!" (Nope) "We have to renovate this place!"

etc.
