LPT: If your boss or HR tells you that you need to quit or you will be fired, don't quit. Let them fire you.

I wish this worked at my prior job but they denied it. My attitude at work had gone downhill drastically over the last few weeks due to my manager sexually harassing me. One of my other coworkers complained to another manager about my poor performance which is what led to me being fired (?). On a Monday I had had enough and went to the same manager that had received the complaint again me and I discussed with him what had been going on with the other manager. I told him that I was putting in my 2 weeks because I couldn't work around the harassment any longer. He told me not to quit and that he would handle it. I was off the next day and when I came in the following day (Wednesday), HR fired me an hour into my shift due to the "complaint" from my coworker. I attempted to argue my point that my performance was poor because of my manager and the sexual harassment but they didn't want to hear it, even though I told them I discussed it 2 days prior with a different manger who said he would take care of it. I did talk to HR in private afterwards and sent them a number of inappropriate photos of what my boss had sent me along with how he would put his hands on me in the store and the result was him being terminated as well a few days later. When I went to file for unemployment, I was denied for being fired due to "insubordination".

Not sure if this happens in many other cases, but I just wanted to share as the entire thing left me feeling like the system is made to be unfair to the employees.
