Weird. ive never heard of anyone ever consulting anyone other than the people that directly interviewed the candidate.

I have a lot of experience interviewing and managing large organizationd. ive never heard anyone say this including managers that report to me, any of the HR people ive discussed interviewing with, any of the interview consultants that have provided us training, or the corporate level HR interviewing training i have taken over the years. We even pay the largest professional recruiting company to do our recruiting, set up job fairs, and provide us training and they have never said anything like this. Maybe things are different outside of large engineering/tech companies?

if the candidate was a dick to anyone, chances are they fucked up elsewhere in the interview process though.

It is far easier to decide how materials and custody should be divided while both parties are on good terms. It'll save you both a lot of time and money. LPT: One of the biggest mistakes you could make when trying to climb any company’s ladder is believing that your skill, talent, and work ethic will be noticed and rewarded.
