I think what OP was trying to say is that if a person hits their wife once when they were at absolute lowest, it doesn't make them a wife beater. And they should be measured by what they do after the incident.

The post itself seems to suggest that even a single physical incident when the person was at their worst is an indicator that they're violent people and that the wife should probably leave them (At least that's my reading of the post). A wife beater doesn't hit his wife when he's at his lowest, he hits her whenever things are slightly less than ideal. If a person acts out when their omelette gets burned - that's not their worst, that's just every day life.
