LPT: went on a bad date? Just be honest and say you are not feeling the spark. No need to ghost. Take responsibility for your own feelings, while helping the other party to not worry.

I always say that I had fun, but didn't feel chemistry between us, and I hope you find what you're looking for. For all the women saying men reacted badly to being turned down, that is horrible, but I wonder if guys like that would have also reacted badly to being ghosted anyway? I've never been disappointed in being turned down or ghosted. It's usually a relief for me. The one time I was going to try to ghost a woman because I just didn't feel like sending that text, she texted me again after a few days, and then I had to send her the rejection text, and it was clear that I tried to ghost her. Didn't feel great, and I decided from then on I'd always send the rejection text promptly if I knew it wasn't going anywhere.
