LTV is principally a moral theory of value and can only ever be rejected or accepted on such a basis

As much as I'd love to live under fully automated gay space communism, I'm afraid I'm a skeptic. Followed to its logical evolution (there will never be a conclusion) socialism just leads back to capitalism. I know that Marx says it is a transition stage on the way to communism, but I'm pretty sure that's just because he was a philosopher and a modernist and needed to create a theory of everything.

He's 100% correct about capitalism, and the only way to survive under capitalism is to implement some socialist policies, and I'm on board because no one has come up with anything else, but the future will be something completely different that we can't even imagine right now.
