Did you confuse Lucid dreams with vivid dreams?

I've had 3 lucid dreams in my life, don't really know how to trigger them. Usually when they will happen a person will wake up because of the sensation change.

Lucid dreams are where you become conscious of the fact you're dreaming and you are almost in a fully lucid state... the benefit being that you're "yourself" with full control in your dream. The best way I can describe it is that anything you imagine can happen like you're a genie.

People tend to want to fly like superman in a lucid dream too.

When I experienced one myself, I understood where various religious prophets came from -they just didn't understand that lucid dreaming is a thing and thought it was some interaction with a god.
