I didn’t see the asshat comment assuming you were fat because you have asthma, otherwise I’d have told them: I’ve trained martial arts with a guy for 15+ years. He has asthma and definitely not fat. And to put it in a little more perspective: our instructor trained the first Olympic TKD gold medalist (we train TKD, hapkido, and BJJ). Every once in a while, he “goes Olympic” on us (as we put it) and subjects us to grueling cardio and speed drills.

My buddy kept up without a problem.

(Instructor wasn’t the Olympic coach. He just got them (the Lopez kids) thru the Pan-American games and qualified for the Olympic team.)
