M/23 Thoughts about her cheating, and considering breaking up.

He never said that people cheat b/c of their origin, and he most certainly did not bash her culture. You did. What he did say was that it is “common” for people in Latin America to cheat b/c he had witnessed it more so there than other places. That’s his concluded opinion based off his personal experience. If you are very well traveled, we all know that’s the bitter/sweet of it—you come up with your on perspective of your experiences. Sometimes you pick up/ witness things you didn’t want to. Who are any of you to tell him he cannot say OR is wrong for saying very respectfully that he thinks somethings “common”?

He did not say: Latins are cheaters (as in all). If he had I would be jumping on the attack bandwagon also. He said it was more prevalent in his eyes. There’s a purpose for the various word choices in the English language. Attack him for the ones he did use.

It’s just like how many imply through speech and films that Italian/French/European men are known to be more frivolous/not committed towards women even after being in a relationship. If you haven’t been there and haven’t experienced it, you have no right to say that someone who has is wrong for stating their opinion just because it may dim light on that origin or it’s people. I guess you’d just have to be insensitive enough to know that’s not was implied through a persons correct choice of words.
