M/24/6’2” [150lbs > 220lbs = 70lbs] This is a lifestyle, not a hobby.

This is 4.5 years of progress. I’ve experienced and continue to experience so much failure this far, doubt, and still have a drive to push forward. When I think back to the before picture, I was depressed, insecure, unconfident, and all around a completely different person.

Through this process I’ve learned 4 key things so far:

  1. Embrace failure. Learn what NOT to do and move in a progressive direction.

  2. Do not focus on lift numbers. You can make HUGE gains just by stimulating the muscle through hypertrophic movements and a compound/isolation mixed workout.

  3. This is a lifestyle, not a hobby. Do not get angry and blame your genetics for any lacks in your physique. Realize YOU are accountable for how you look. You can lift hard but slack on diet and it will show. If it takes giving up the party lifestyle to help you progress, I promise it will be worth it and you will grow mentally and physically.

  4. Never put someone down for their physique. They may be in a different phase than you and everyone is on their own journey.
