There was nothing you could have done to prevent this because she is the kind of person who will ghost someone rather than have some balls for the three seconds it takes to say "I'm going to head home, it was nice meeting you"

The date could have been better...and in my own experience, "a couple hours" at a bar is significantly too long to stay at one location on a date. A date isnt just hanging out, its got some purpose be that romance or sex and if the date doesnt have any direction towards one of them it might be a dud.

Her choice of dealing with a dud is dumb...but whatever. Your way of dealing with it can be to plan a better date with the next girl that has a bit more direction (or if they plan it, keep a backup suggestion in mind if things are waffling)
