I’m ashamed and need help. I’m better than this…

If you're talking habitual sin then yes, we all have to make that effort. Even I'm struggling with pornography addiction. But we aren't "bound" as in we're not powerless. "For greater is that is in you than he that is in the world" - 1 John 4:4. It's not us with the power but jesus through us that gives us the power and authority. This is something that I've been trying to get to terms with. But if you're talking about just "sin", then yes we are all sinners. We even sin without knowing we've sinned sometimes. It's just the nature we've taken since the fall of man. But we have to focus on God.

And I was talking about not watching those pastors as they're quite deceptive. "Ear ticklers" if you will. They will tell you what you want to hear and not the truth. I'm not sure about Dan Mohler but the other two are definitely teaching false doctrine. This could also be something that's holding you back if you're struggling habitually as you're not hearing the truth of the word that will ultimately show you the reality of sin (more so habitual if you do that). But keep reading your Bible, I'm trying to do that as well. It really helps.

Hope this helps you!
