Well, since you are straight forward, let me say some ugly side of it.

In Asian's standard, good job is more looking like finance, lobbyist (In Washington only, obviously), lawyer, doctor, and IT. Any other job will not be considered as "good". Also, most people in 20s or early 30s want their own children and they do not want to be someone's stepdad especially the kid is not even Asian.

For slightly older Asian man, they are loosening their standard because they know their pool is smaller. They are open to use their money to pay your kiddo's expenses, but their parents are not happy because they do not their son to spend their hard earn money to feed someone does not share his last name.
