Maybe I don’t want perfect then. I want someone to grow with.

Yeah same and it's anything but perfect just like every human. It simply means that you want a caring, genuine and understanding person, just like some girls want a "bad boy". It's simply a preference and there are tons of them (though most of them are about physical appearance).

I don't get why someone could think this is "perfect". Besides, if you want such a person then you're probably like that yourself (you'd be loving her, caring for her etc.; I doubt an abusive, toxic, brutal person would want a loving, empathetic gf lol), which by this definition makes you a perfect person someone else could desire.
