Ah, right on. To be clear, I wasn't criticising - I had inferred from his question that there must be a questionable phenomenon of YouTubers using their fame to somehow gain traction as stand-ups without really being that funny.

Now I know he's both, I wonder what makes him ask this, because surely there is no question of the validity of YouTubers doing stand up (assuming this is what his question is getting at, which is perhaps a big assumption to make about such an open question) just because they also put out YouTube videos - if you're funny, you're funny; if you do stand-up, you're a stand up. Doesn't matter what other gigs you've got going on.
