Go in to all stores near you with your resume. Make sure to wear your best clothing, but not formal. Just very neat. Oh and get a really nice haircut. A skin fade, or something very mature looking.

"May I please speak with the manager?" They will have to bring the manager out and that's when you tell them

"I am interested in working here and really would love to be a part of your team, I am able to work whenever you want." Never negotiate hours work on getting the hours you want after you get the job. DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO SAY "BUT YOU'RE INTERVIEWING THEM TOO!" that's a load of BS and they will probably just not hire you.

Sometimes they'll hire you the next day because they're desperate.

Be approachable as possible but also a little assertive. I'll be in the same boat as you soon as I'm potentially losing my job at the end of September due to layoffs so good luck!
