Don't fall for the garbage you hear that keeps getting circulated as fact. Boston is far more racist than any city in the south. I've experienced it first hand. New York isn't far behind. First hand, as well. They openly disparage every group there is. Want to move to a certain section of Boston if you're black, Hispanic, etc? Good luck. Want to move to a Jewish neighborhood in NY, not going to happen. Wait, they have entire neighborhoods in NYC that are only "supposed" to be Black, White, Hispanic, Jewish?? Hmmmm.

Anti-voting? Myth. Requiring an ID to vote: You need an ID to get medication, fly, cash a check, sign up and get welfare, and file your income tax (social security number). So.yes. why not be properly identified as oneself to prevent voter fraud.

Anti- LQBTQ? Nope. Birmingham's.(Black) (Democrat) Mayor is openly gay. (Randall Woodfin). And he's the mayor of Alabama's largest city. So he's pretty influential and we don't hide him..We decided to just hit all 3 when we elected him.

Anti choice? Lots of states are sorting through the recent Row v. Wade decision. It's up for vote

I won't try to change your mind. We all have opinions, but I encourage people who have only lived in one part of the country, or one state all their lives to get out and move elsewhere. Even those who live in NY or LA need to. There's a whole "world" out in the rest of the US.
