I’m not taken seriously at the dealership. What can I do to be taken seriously?

Not a doctor yet, just a student. I don't really see your point - when is altruism part of a business deal? I was a student, about to take on probably 200k of debt over the next few years, alone in a new place dealing with a dearlership that functions at a multi-million of dollar level if not more. Heck, I wish the dealership had been more altruistic to me. Instead of matching the price that another dealership advertised, maybe they could have beaten it?

Also, small note -- doctors are human. Please treat each doctor you meet as such, at least afford them that basic courtesy when you meet them. The system that 'makes' us doctors also breaks you down, steps all over you, and never gives you a chance to catch your breath. And yet we still do what we do.
