I’m pretty good at math.

We were on a small one day vacation. In the evening, the road we used in the morning was already shut down for maintenance so we had to find a different way home. Satnav always redirected us to this one mainroad. And both of us didn't have any knowledge about the place / different roads and the likes, and all signposs directed us to the closed road again. Told my partner I had a different idea: If I would drive to north-east for a while we would have to reach another big road which would lead us directly home. If I would be going too far to the north-west we'd reach another landmark, same if I went too far east. After a while my partner told me "you have no idea what you are doing" and we finally picked up the map. Turned out we were just one village away from where I thought we were. My partner asked me how I did this. Simply told her I watched where the sun was and also memorized the left and right turns, and it worked out. She was baffled. By now she entirely relies on me whenever we are in an area we don't know as she by now admits that wasn't a lucky day but I indeed have a sense of direction.

In turn, simplest math tasks are too much for me.
