Probably unpopular opinion time, but it's because they're not doing anything wrong by posting there. They are people that fucked up, have served/are serving their time, and trying to move past it.

I'm not defending the actions that got them there, but every post I saw there was people trying to get help finding a job or a place to live or how to move past what they did. None of that is harmful.

I encourage every person to educate themselves on the registry. It doesnt do as much as people think it does, especially for lower tier offenders (for example, NOT people that have raped, molested, assaulted, or offended multiple times)

Let me be clear: do I think the registry should exist? Yes, but not in the way it does now. There needs to be a serious reform of it. Look into the recidivism rates for sex offenders.
