I’m sick of seeing the same excuses about lazy men

Not that I don’t agree that men need to know how to do house labor. But, “I can overcome something so everyone else can too” is a really easy way to dismiss everyone’s individuality. For some people something that was achievable for you can be very hard or even cause severe anxiety, even something like housecleaning.

Some people need legit help from another person not a YouTube video or a figure it out, which is the shit most men get for most of their lives, “you’re a man figure it out” is the type of viewpoint that causes a lot of men to become all these things that this sub seems to hate.

To clarify I don’t think you are labeling all men who say this as lazy, but I’m seeing a lot of comments that are completely dismissing people who didn’t learn simple tasks and I don’t think that’s fair to a lot of men or women out there that would benefit from a bit of time and compassion for once in their lives. These are the types of passively toxic opinions that cause a lot of men to be afraid to ask for help or open up to people.

I know it’s an unpopular viewpoint so I understand if a lot of you don’t agree with it, but I figured it was worth putting out.
