I’m torn between an old friend and my girlfriend

But what if it’s a little bit of both? I do see a future with her. But at the same time I don’t.

Part of it has to do with how her family is in regards to giving her the freedom to do what she needs/wants to do in life and how extremely gossip driven they are. Drama is not something I enjoy putting myself through and I absolutely detest yelling.

On the other hand she has been there for me through my car breaking down 5 or 6 times and letting me use hers, been there for me through a really bad roommate situation, and losing my job. But I see it’s draining for her having to help me through all of that and she’s told me she’s getting tired
