The MacBook is a disaster (?)

I bought my Macbook Air with Retina a year ago (as soon as it was available in my country) and have got it repaired twice. It took two of my weekends and once full system recovery (with Time Machine backup) since the logic board was replaced.

But I love it, it is elegant, efficient and consistent for my everyday use. It is thin, light, with full-day battery life. Perfect screen, touchpad. The keyboard is OK for me now after a year of everyday usage. The CPU is also OK for me (as long as it can run emacs and let me ssh to our server clusters).

Why not alternatives? For me, I hate Windows (XP, 7, 10) so they are eliminated. Linux laptops just sucks (Maybe I've yet met a comparable one). iPad is still limited for my use-cases. I've not try Chromebooks but they seems promising.

All laptops are bad for a perfectionism. I just happen to be the ones settled on Apple's :)
