Depends on what you mean by advanced. Her technique was advanced for 8-10yrs old but once she became 11-12 her technique was intermediate. Her control, balance, and flexibility were also intermediate. However, her turns were pretty advanced for her age. I would like to say that her musicality and rhythm were also advanced which helped cover up her technical errors. So overall she is an intermediate dancer with advanced qualities.

when the show was airing dance was dramatically changing. the aldc did not keep up with the dance world. the aldc focused on turns, acro and “story telling” type of dancing while most studios did contemporary/modern, more focused on technique, balance, control, leg holds, and flexibility. (ex: tate mcrae, club dance studio)
