I've watched a few of his videos but I haven't known him to miss out on details. I didn't have a problem with the giant ship girl. Thats what all the klaxosaurs are already. I thought for sure he would mention that even as a sort of Inb4 but I guess he just missed it, even though it's hinted at a couple times then outright explained later. Also missed that the Virms motivation is just the same thing as seel/reapers/borg/antispirals and I thought he'd make a comment about it being weak but he didn't mention it all. It's just "we know whats best for you, personal feelings are bad"

I have other problems with the series but I didn't have a problem with the ship girl. I've watched the train wreck that is Cross Ange twice though so I think that has lowered my bar a bit. I've also seen all eva stuff and ttgl so I was expecting something over the top.
