Don’t confuse a news article getting downvoted for you getting downvoted. The title seems accurate to the article but the article is taking what is mostly a non-issue and attempting to ruffle feathers over it. I personally downvoted your post because it serves only to provide another platform for an attempt to stir up anger and division. I’d wager that 99% of people who come across this article have no frigging clue what the hell a “black national anthem” is, which will in turn foster a specific type of knee jerk reaction, name the “omg how dare Bill Maher criticize black people!!” sort of reaction. Is it something to discuss on a Bill Maher related forum? Sure. Is it really going to result in productive discourse? Probably not.
