made the right decision not to convert?

You are a Christian so...

-You believe that the Biblical canon of Christian orthodoxy is from God, right?

-Jesus is God incarnate, Emanuel, who is uncreated and is the person of God's son, right?

-You are a desperate sinner in need of saving grace from a God that exists as three separate but interrelated persons, right?

-The only way to eternity before this good God is to trust that the death of Jesus paid your debt in God's sacrificial system, right?

-And your life is to be spent in pursuit of God's face and God's glory by loving Him, His people, and the broken people of the world that He loves, right?

Islam denies every one of these things. You would have had to abandon your messiah or spend your marriage with someone that disagrees with the things that seem to be some of the deepest parts of your identity. You would have been miserable.

I'm sorry you are mourning. I know it hurts. I'm going through something similar. But you definitely did the right thing.

Most Muslims are beautiful, brainwashed people. Most of them are superstitious and focused on appearing to obey the things they are told. But Islam is insidious. It is not your friend. It is not even a friend of the Muslims. Most of them haven't read the Quran or Bukhari, let alone the other ahadith and tafsir. It's a state-building religious totalitarian system that does want to take over the world, even if modernists won't admit it.

Muhammad was not God's prophet. He was a murderer, thief, pedophile, and mentally ill warlord, according to the Quran and ahadith. He destroyed many civilizations. The Quran is not God's word and the author of the Quran clearly had no comprehension of the core Christian doctrine or scientific knowledge.

Continue to pray about it. Seek counsel from people who steer you towards trustworthy things. And seek solace in God's word. Psalms, Lamentations, or Paul's epistles can be very encouraging. You will be well. Hang in there.
