There's not any 1st world countries in a state of anarchy or real libertarianism for a reason.

Currently (one of those reasons being the constant interference of global superpowers with any large movement that even attempts to disrupt their hegemony by daring to imagine an equitable society).

Societies like that have existed, and it would be reductive (and inaccurate) to claim the reason they no longer exist is because they don't work. I think comprehensively accounting for why the things are the way they are today would take dozens of volumes, but I'm pretty confident the phrase "because alternatives don't work" would not be included in them.
