This enchanted Dwarven spade cleaves through silt, stone and foes with equivalent ease.
The Trenchant Trowel serves as a +2 mace which deals bludgeoning or slashing damage (your choice on a hit) and may be used as a spellcasting focus. Additionally, it has the following properties:
Diligent Digging: While attuned, you know the cantrip Mold Earth, and while holding the Trowel you may cast the spell as a bonus action at a range of 5 feet.
Tunneler's Bane: While holding the Trowel, you can use your action to cast Erupting Earth from the Trowel. Creatures within the spell's area that are currently underground have disadvantage on the save.
Menace of Masonry: While holding the Trowel, you can ritual cast Passwall from the Trowel on a surface of stone, brick, mortar or cement only.
Once the Trowel's second or third properties have been used, that property cannot be used again until the next dawn.
