Major brands drop ties with Chaokoh Coconut Milk (LFC Partner) after PETA investigation reveal forced monkey labour.

Zoologist here: Not that that qualifies me to comment on the mechanics of monkey labour conditions, but it does allow me to say PETA regularly talk absolute bollocks and to take anything they ever say with a massive dose of salt.

PETA are NOT an Animal protection "charity". They're an animal "liberation" charity. A very key difference. Protection implies they care for the welfare of the animal in some capacity, this is not the case. PETA cares whether the animal is living in captivity or not, including cats, dogs and other common household pets.

This means peta EUTHANIZE any animal they can't return to the "wild" such as domestic pets; it's their entire ideology. According to them, having a pet is cruel exploitation and the only release from that suffering is death for the animal. Thousands upon thousands of people give their animals to PETA every year for one reason or another under the pretense they'll be looked after. They won't. They're euthanized ASAP.

Fuck PETA. Don't give money to them and DEFINITELY don't trust them to re-home your nan's cat or whatever
