The problem here is nobody is saying what they really mean.

The wall is not about border security. The wall is not about stopping drugs. The wall is not about stopping terrorists.

The wall is an ideology. It is an ideology that says, "We should do something to stop people from walking across our borders."

Neither the left nor the right will say what they really mean here. The left wants to focus on ports of entry, because they want open borders everywhere else. They don't want to stop people from walking across the border. The right does, but they won't come out and say it, and instead keep talking about "border security" nonsense.

The wall is about keeping people from walking across the border.
