Makeup Monday - June 04

I just got this brush set in the mail because I needed more face brushes and wanted dedicated brushes for my bright eyeshadows. I'm incredibly impressed. They're softer than my e.l.f. or Wet n Wild brushes and denser than my Real Techniques brushes. I snagged them when they were an Amazon Deal, so they were well worth the $7.99 I paid.

I picked up two of the UD Troublemaker mascara sets when Ulta had them on clearance for $15. At $7.50/each that brought them down to drugstore price. I absolutely despise the wand on this mascara but the formula applies really well with a classic spoolie brush and is one of the few fiber mascaras that makes my stubby lashes look longer but not spidery. I dislike having a wash an old Cover Girl wand between tubes but I like how it works with just about every mascara I've used so I can tolerate it.

My other recent purchase was two Neutrogena Hydro Boost lip glosses in Pink Mocha and Almond Nude. Pink Mocha is a very MLBB shade on me and Almond Nude is a little warmer. I had a Neutrogena gloss I loved back in high school so I was hoping these would be similar. So far I like the formula, they are slightly hydrating, not too thick or sticky, and there's no noticeable taste or smell. They hold up nicely to eating and drinking, better than most glosses. However, I HATE the applicator. It's too wide for the tube so it's hard to get in or out and because it's wide and flat I find it hard to be even or precise with my application.
