Making a campaign where races are together, but separated.

I am doing something similar.

My humans are a chaotic feudal kingdom with hundreds of random gods. There is a fair bit of paranoia because of the chaos. Puritan crusades, far flung outposts, bandit lords...

My dwarves are corporate profiteers. They are based on East India Trading Company and the African Company. Not evil, but purely profit motivated. Completely focused on perfection of craft or business.

Tieflings are based on gypsies/roma. Remnants of a cursed ancient race. Nomadic travellers with rich oral heritage.

Elves/drow live together and are organized into family clans. They're very xenophobic and live in a hermit type kingdom.

The Dragonborn are another ancient race whose homelands are far off. They worship ancient dragons (that are rumored to actually be alive) in dragon cults. Secret assassin organizations are rumored to enforce the silence of the cults. A very political and complex government.
