As a Malaysian, what would you do/be your reaction if one of your children turned out gay?

What do you mean it's something Muslims can't decide? Religions have certain rules they have to follow, if you explitly refuse to follow their rules, how exactly can you call yourself a member of that religion?

Its not hard. Choose homosexuality or Islam, one or the other. I don't care. Just don't be like, "ah, actually the rules don't matter because it's inconvenient for me, and I'll just be both". Its literally the word of god telling people the right way to live their lives, tell me how it's in any way logical that you can choose to believe and worship this god but also explicitly ignore the parts that inconvenience you.(something that same God has warned you to not do).

I have no dog in this fight. I just think there's more to being Muslim than just saying "well, I'm a Muslim" and that people are well within their rights to gatekeep against people who are making a mockery of their religion by explicitly ignoring the rules of it.
