Malcolm Turnbull’s Coalition and indeed Bill Shorten’s Labor Party are grappling with a serious existential problem – the community has jumped to the left, while the major parties are stepping to right.

And given you have blanket opposed any evidence-based look at when public ownership is in the public's' best interest and simply declared as such in a vast swathe of industry, you are clearly uninterested in things like 'ensuring the market works efficiently' and 'ensuring taxpayers get value for money'.

As I said from the beginning, you are more interested in public ownership than anything derived from a look at the evidence. That's fine, just don't be surprised when the government completely ignores you. Because they will, as they are more interested in ensuring that taxpayers get value for money than your feelings.

Socialism always fails, and the 'new' socialism espoused by individuals here is no different from that which is destroying Venezuela and caused the UK to almost collapse.
