As a man, I can tell you that the women will appreciate you immensely for it.

Yikes. This is in my opinion an extremely bad suggestion. Personally I do NOT in general advise a guy to do this. Firstly, this is in no way your job or responsibility. Secondly, If I saw tampons in a guys bathroom I would consider quietly whether he was either a white knight, rather desperate, creepily obsessed with women, cheating, sleeping around, recently in a relationship or perhaps just a completely strange person who spends to much time thinking about chicks. Non of these are that great. Most likely I would assume a woman left them there and he just hadn’t noticed. In any case. The only time a man should buy tampons for a woman “without being asked first” is if it’s for loved ones who are incapable of getting them for themselves eg: dependants such as children nearing puberty, teenagers under your care or coming to stay or visit, sick relatives etc. I don’t think it’s fair to encourage men to do anything beyond this. Almost every guy I know is respectful and considerate when it comes down to period talk and will pick some supplies up from the store if you were to “ask” them and honestly that’s good enough! I think periods are pretty private. I’d prefer not to be carefully considered in that regard. Really as a grown woman I can take care of myself :). Now !! Something all women WOULD appreciate is a lined peddle (has a lid) bin in the toilet!

I should add at the end of all this, in case it wasn’t clear up there..that obviously male parents, relatives and guardians with any baby sitting duties are exempt from my review and can stock up on tampons and pads to the rafters. Applauding all the single dads out there!
