Whether you’re left or right, do you think either of these people really understand what is part of ICE’s charter? Besides immigration ICE does customs, which means any item that comes into the country goes through them (or at least should go through them). I can tell you that China would LOVE ICE to go away so the tariffs aren’t collected.

Also, we abolished ICE before. It was called INS but kids don’t remember things like this, or at least were never taught. This immigration fight is as old as America itself. We’re a bastard nation without an ethnic identity, so we superimpose one to make us feel like there is l, but in reality there is no ethnicity called American. Hell, before the Mexicans it was the Italians invading, and they weren’t considered white at all. Before them, the Irish, and before them the German and so on and so forth.

So, sure. Abolish ICE. It will change nothing, fundamentally, and will just be renamed later on, or take on different responsibilities.
