This man has the right idea of frugal.

Yes. No judgement, I mean who cares what you think of him? This guy doesn't. And good for him. Let people do whatever they want as long as they aren't hurting others. The worst case scenario is that he is deeply confused about money.

No action can be rightly judged without knowing the reasons behind his doing. One person might live this kind of life and he would be an idiot for doing so, and another one the complete opposite.

We see stupid monks renouncing possessions and moving to the jungles to meditate because in their worldly life they leaned too far to the consuming side and had false expectations about money. They thought it would give them eternal happiness. So now they are running away from it. Most of them miss and become guides. But then again, we can see some people who get in the monk lifestyle and they become enlightened masters.

And even when you know precisely the reason why someone does something, a poison for one can be medicine for the other. Perhaps after living a rich life you need to get a taste of the frugal, minimalistic kind of life to balance everything out? WHO THE HELL KNOWS. Probably only the enlightened masters..

And by judging him you are not doing anything constructive, only deepening your justifications of comfort living and showing them to the rest of the world.

And finally, the person can't be anything else than he is... He is the result of his genetics, environment, thoughts, actions, information he gets. It's impossible for him to be different.

See, life is quite difficult and if you haven't transcended it, you are likely to be just as confused as this person shown here. Only that you are too attached to your confusions and you cannot see it. Or maybe that person is not confused? Who knows? Certainly not me.
