Man, what is wrong with you people? This is depressing.

not exactly a mental giant

Or not exactly middle-aged. Taxi Driver and Godfather II are more than 40 years old, Deer Hunter and Raging Bull are getting close to the four decade mark, Cape Fear and Goodfellas are getting close to 30 years old, and even Casino is more than 20 years old.

Meet the Parents is the only one of those movies that came out in the 2000's (and only barely). It and Analyze This are the only ones that came out in the lifetime of the under-30 crowd, maybe barring Casino when they were toddlers.

Sure, these are some well regarded, classic movies on this list. But most people don't tend to make a lot of effort to see movies that people from a generation older than them rave about. My mother says The Godfather is the best movie ever, and it's always been on my list to watch eventually, but I've never gotten around to it. By the same token, though, she's never seen Citizen Kane.

Hell, now that Blockbusters have basically gone the way of the dodo, older movies are a lot less accessible than they used to be. None of these movies are available on Netflix, Hulu, Redbox, or Amazon Prime, so they're not going to be on people's radars nearly as much as when you could walk past them in a video store. (Sure, Netflix has them on the DVD section, but who still has that after they doubled the price and got much slower at turnaround time?)

TL;DR: Swagbucks' user base skews young, so unsurprisingly the most-picked movie is the better of the two that didn't come out before they were born.
