[MANGA SPOILERS] Am i the only one who will be disappointed if certain popular theory turns out to be true?

I definitely agree. The thought of Eren being literally mind controlled by the Attack Titan is rather weak to me..

I do somewhat understand the idea of him being possessed, but I believe he is influenced and burdened by the will of the Attack Titan, instead of being literally controlled. He has unlocked past memories, has seen the bigger picture of the world, and realized a lot of its truths. He realized how large of a boulder he has to carry on this shoulders.

Armin and Mikasa's understanding towards Eren is only limited, because they cannot comprehend the visceral and emotional sight Eren has received. He has great power, but he has also become a slave to the great responsibility that his father had thrusted upon him. So what can he do? Fight.

I think the last arc will depict his fight for true freedom, and to go beyond the mistakes of the past Titan holders. That would be a better development for the story in my earnest opinion.

P.S. Not many people in the Eng Fandom may know this, but I spoke to a Japanese fan recently. She mentioned that in the November documentary, Isayama has stated that the theme surrounding the last arc is going "beyond your father". I believe Eren will learn to break the chains of the Titans' powers and go beyond to earn a better future, while using the past as a tool to learn from mistakes.

I'm open to more ideas from my favorite community.
