Why do so many African American kids lack a caring father?

From the time they were chained and put on those slave ships there were set to fail from one generation to another.

A lot of their cultures and identities were stolen from them.

Breeding was forced amongst families by slave masters,(Slave) Fathers were taken away from wives and kids. which tore the whole family fabric and caused intergenerational trauma.

Fast forward:

They are now in the Projects:

-Women are not allowed to live with men or else they will get evicted. So fathers had to come and go like guests.

  • Flourishing Black businesses get burnt down, destroyed.

-Black families are not allowed to buy property in certain parts of town. No, opportunity to build generational wealth.

  • Drugs and weapons were planted in poor neighborhoods during the "war on drugs".

-Black men are massively set up for incarceration even for petty crimes, leaving kids without a father figures.

At the end of the day, a man wants to provide for a family, no matter what color he is. If that is denied to him, a man never feels like a man. He will seek other avenues to make himself feel that way or to express his frustrations.

Sadly the American oppressive system has indiscriminately trickled to every other American society. It will take generations to come for African Americans to recover and start building the family fabric that was (is) torn by the systematic oppression.
