Why do so many people believe that you can’t be racist to white folks ?

It’s like anything else.

Thin people can’t experience bodyshaminng, women can’t be sexist towards men, people of the LQBTQ+ community can’t be uh, straightphobic. Yeah, you get the idea.

It’s basically a joke and not taken seriously because the roles were reversed and it’s just something you wouldn’t see a lot, therefore, “not really important,” “non-existent,” “impossible,” etc.

It’s definitely a thing it’s just overlooked by most of society, and it’s difficult for the “opposing side” aka white people in this case, to get their word in because they’ll be considered racist. It sounds like this. White people, straight people, men, thin people… people who have societal privilege, deserve their time of suffering because they caused it in the first place. All these seem to be taking effect on the opposing side, but it’s still overlooked because it’s all considered a joke.
