Why do so many posts here start with "Why do Americans..." when referring to something that some random individual people might do but not remotely representative of all Americans?

The fact that you believe that shows how little you actually know about the country, but maybe it was my mistake to tease you with something small like New York’s most special sandwich.

Some states are actively working to outright ban abortion whilst others steadfastly oppose this idea. Some cities are considered sanctuary cities that are in direct opposition to the enforcement of strict immigration law and a safer place for refugees than other cities. Some states encourage open carry and gun ownership whilst others limit these rights as much as they can.

There are people in this country who have never seen a tall building and others who have never seen a cornfield. Most of the people that you think you know about are just television stars performing for ratings (yes, even our “newscasters”) or faces in history books that many of our own citizens are ashamed of. You don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about because it’s clear your only experience with the US comes from a place of humiliation and hatred, which is not uncommon throughout the world, but you remind me of some of my worst fellow Americans. Those who carry shitty xenophobic and racist views of other places based on the one or two strong feelings they have about them. Be better.
