A map of the Coalition Security State's points of interest.

I'm not sure if this is open to criticism but the coalition has one critical vulnerability, all its camps and major installations are located at a port or near the oean. Reconnaissance troops could easily stake out the area, block all possible areas of retreat with traps and explosives, then pinpoint machine gun fire onto avenues of approach. That's without mentioning air, artillery, and the extreme range of naval gunfire. Basically, the coalition trapped itself in a horseshoe before any fighting begins and most of the nearest reenforcements are far away.

It might make sense to have bases with an accessible port that are located further inland with secondary and tertiary positions for egress. That way the coalition can use nature for protection and camouflage instead of being out in the open. Troops located at secondary positions (if manned) would be able to act as reenforcements instead of condensing the troops in one location.

Since most of the land are islands, there are some pretty good real world examples. Namely, the US bases in Okinawa
