Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical authoritarian ultranationalism, characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy, which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe. The first fascist movements emerged in Italy during World War I before it spread to other European countries.

This is the "original fascism" you're talking about. You don't need to have literal extermination camps for fascism to be a bad thing. If you see the above-posted ideological description and don't find anything wrong with it, you may need to reevaluate the way you see the world.
