Cutting their connections to the internet would be devastating but maybe that’ll encourage them to have a government that doesn’t actively try to destabilize western democracy.

My issue with my country is that we know what Russia is doing but we’re too god damn cowardly or selfish to take any action consistent with our supposed ideals that requires any actual sacrifice. In my mind patriotism requires you to be willing to hold your government accountable and the fraud we perpetrated on the Ukrainians with the Budapest memorandum needs to be remembered every single time we’re reminded of the human cost of an illegal war we could have easily stopped
