Marco Rubio’s claim that no recent mass shootings would have been prevented by gun laws

Firstly, that's pure speculation, and secondly, they aren't simple to make.

It's not reasonable to assume people will use an easy method to bypass laws and accomplish their goals?

Have you made one? I sure haven't.

I have assembled several scarry black guns from parts kits and 2 from 80% lowers. So those guns are completely "off the books"

And not one mass-shooter has.

Because they haven't had to, people don't generally murder over booze in the US, but alcohol bans created a different story where alcohol related murder and crime were rampant, and people made their own in the garage.

Not even in countries with stricter gun control.

I think your confusing my point with yours. American as 11k gun related deaths a year, and something like 16k murders. Americans are killing each other by culture not because of guns. Do some actual research (cureviolence.org maybe) and see what happens when we stop focusing on gun and focus on my americams seem to be homicidal.

As of yet, you can't 3d print a functioning gun, even if you do possess a 3d printer, which people don't.

Ahh, where have you been? Semantics aside (where in the US only the lower [not even including the parts that go in it] is legally the "gun") you can print a very reliable gun. All you need are a few generic parts and a barrel. A barrel is easy to make and millions of people have the tools to make a bbl good enough for a suicide mass shooting. If you think printed lowers don't work you probably shouldn't check out Defense Distributed or TN Arms Company.

So moot point either way.

Agree to disagree?

Yeah, a tool of oppression. I'm curious if you'd feel like that if a member of your family would be one of those thirty-something thousand people, that die annualy through the use of firearms.

So now we're not talking about crime but all firearms related injuries? How would I feel if a family member was injured/killed with a firearms NOT as the result of crime?
The same i would if they fell off a ladder, or crashed their car, or hit their hand with a hammer. I certainly wouldn't call the banning or registering of the above (well i guess cars are their sorta).
I'd ferl terrible if someone in my immediate household was injured via negligence or accident with ome of my firearms. Which is my they are stored in a locked and bolted gun safe. Why my wife and daughters have been taught how to handled, clean, load, and clear them. Taught how to respect the tool that puts a winters worth of meat on our table, the same tool that keeps wolves and coyotes away from our cows and chickens. The same tools that can defend our livea should that ever happen.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but if you grew up in a violent place and only know guns as the tools of thugs then i feel bad for you. I grew up around guns, been shooting my whole life. Every one of my family members has at least one, and half the people i work with has one (halfish of them have CC Permits).

There are already so many rules and laws about manufacturing, owning, and taking guns into public I can't wait for people to stop the Gun vs Mental Illness BS and start working on WHY Americans slaughter each other.
